We are all very excited about the goals of the trip. Some projects include:

* El Cardonal, Baja - Building sustainable adobe homes with local laborers of El Cardonal.
* Lake Chapala, Mexico - Performing in conjunction with a local art auction to raise funds to benefit the polluted Lake Chapala.
* Manzanillo, Mexico - Physical water therapy with special needs children.
* Oaxaca, Mexico - Working with nurseries for crocodiles, parakeets, white-tailed deer, and baby sea turtles, of which they  release 15,000 every year.
* Oaxaca, Mexico - Working at a farm and petting zoo for children with and without disabilities.
* Questaltenango, Guatemala - Working at the first domestic violence shelter for women and children in Guatemala.

Individual artistic endeavors will also be pursued.  A few examples of include:

* An album recorded by blending the sounds of local musicians we meet along the way.
* Performing physical comedy and clown shows to the public as well as creating an expressive performance workshop that operates beyond cultural and linguistic barriers.
* Vegan cooking to promote personal and environmental health.
* Writing blogs of our trip, original plays, poetry and workshops with the bus and communities.
* Creating a photo journal of our journey.

The occupants of the bus are already in place, so there is not a call for travelers.  However, this journey is in need of donations.  Monetary donations are welcomed as are anything from the following wish list.  If one would like to lend these items vs. donate them, we will do our best to return them at the end of the journey in the same condition they were lent.  Many people have these items for their camps at Burning Man.

We could also use some people to help us

trick out the bus this weekend (weekend after Thanksgiving).  If you have a bus and have found useful ways to create storage and functionality, we would love to hear from you, or have you help us build it.  If you can assist in the installation of a roof rack and electrical system, it would be greatly appreciated also.

Please contact theextramileadventure@gmail.com or austinsinha@yahoo.com if you would like to contribute.

Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!!
