What is the Culture Lab?

Black Rock Solar, BRAF, BWB, and the Regionals will be hosting a rockin' space,The Culture Lab, this year at Burning Man. This is a  place for people to learn, make art,  and hang out and discuss how they are taking the inspiration from the playa into their local communities.

How can you participate?

We are creating conversation spaces with Playatech Love seats and your community is invited to create and decorate one or two  for the Culture Lab. We would love to have  as many different regions as possible represented and hope you will participate.

We have teamed up with Sunshine at Playatech and he has generously offered his easy to follow instructions  for the Playa Love Seats.

You are invited to construct a love seat, decorate it reflecting the culture of your community, and then bring it to the Culture Lab at Burning Man.

We will store and then re-use the loveseats next year.

How simple, yet amazing is the Playa Loveseat?

Each loveseat uses EXACTLY one sheet of 1/2" ply costing ~$20 or less to avoid moop. The easiest way to build a Playa Love Seat  is to find someone in your community who already built one, and use it as a template with a router follower bit.
